Privacy policy
This policy explains how Thinqist GmbH processes personal data when you visit this website, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP/revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
1. Controller
Thinqist GmbH, Weissbadstrasse 8b, 9050 Appenzell, Switzerland.
Email: info@thinqist.com
2. Data we process
- Server logs: when you visit, our hosting provider may process your IP address, browser type, and time of access to deliver and secure the site.
- Contact form: the name, email and message you submit, used solely to respond to your enquiry.
- Analytics & cookies: only if you consent (see section 4).
3. Purpose & legal basis
We process data to operate the website, respond to enquiries, and, with your consent, to understand site usage. Legal bases include your consent, our legitimate interest in a secure, functional website, and pre-contractual steps at your request.
4. Cookies & analytics
Essential cookies keep the site working. Only after you consent in the cookie banner do we load analytics and advertising services: specifically Google Analytics, Google Ads (with conversion tracking) and Google Search Console. These may transfer data to Google servers, including in the USA. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or reopening the banner.
5. Sharing & third parties
We share data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting and, subject to your consent, Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC for analytics and advertising). Where providers are located outside Switzerland/the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards. Google retains cookie-linked analytics and advertising data for up to 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@thinqist.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Switzerland: the FDPIC; in the EU: your local authority).
7. Data protection contact
For any data protection questions, contact us at info@thinqist.com.
8. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.
9. AI assistant (Ask Thinqist AI)
Our website offers an optional AI chat assistant. Messages you enter are processed to generate a reply by our AI provider Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, USA); this involves a transfer of your input to the USA on the basis of appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. Please do not enter personal or confidential information in the chat. To improve the service we keep anonymised statistics about chat topics (a category and a short keyword-style topic; never names, contact details or full messages). Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry. For binding matters, contact info@thinqist.com.
10. Appointment booking (Microsoft Bookings)
Our website links to Microsoft Bookings, a scheduling service operated within our Microsoft 365 environment, to book intro calls. When you book, Microsoft processes the details you enter (name, email address, optional phone number and notes, and the chosen time) to create and manage the appointment; you receive a confirmation email and a calendar invitation with a Microsoft Teams link. Processing takes place under our Microsoft 365 agreements (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.; EU Standard Contractual Clauses where data leaves the EU/EEA). Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract at your request, and the consent you give on the booking page. Appointment data is kept only as long as needed for the meeting and its follow-up.
